In Basel, 122 salmon were caught on average per year from 1920 – 1931. From 1932 – 1958 it was only an average 13 salmons. After 1958, no salmon was caught in Basel anymore.

The exhibition addressed the reasons why salmon were unable to find spawning grounds and why their migration to their spawning grounds in the Upper Rhine was blocked.
